Penguin Tracking Bands: Making Problems Worse?

Global warming has made defenseless animals suffer from humans mistakes. Now, the people want to help out the animals from going extinct. So, scientists started to put tracking bracelets on penguins. They are doing this to monitor their health status and whereabouts. Unfortunately, with the bands there are more problems than solutions. For example, penguins now need to use about 24% more energy than usual just to go for a swim and catch some fish. Therefor, they will become tired faster. Also, while swimming the bands could catch the attention of predators because the bands do not camouflage with their skin. Yvon Le Maho, an ecologist at the University of Strasbourg and the French National Center for Scientific Research, believes that the bands are biased and produce questionable results.

I think that some scientists should actually go to the penguin habitat and help out. From the bands, penguins could become extinct faster because of all the difficulties. I believe it would just be so much easier on the penguins if people actually went and helped out instead of just monitoring them.
