This is a kid friendly site that is 100% true. Well, at least as true as it needs to be :)

Digital Picture #2
This is a picture of my dog, Shea. She is a pug :) Shea is obviously found in my community because she lives with me haha. Anyways, she has a tick *tear tear*. This is an example of symbiosis. What is symbiosis? Symbiosis is a close relationship between two species that benefits at least one of the species. There are three examples of symbiosis: commensalism, parasitism, and mutualism. My dog having a tick is an example of parasitism. That is because the tick embeds itself into my dog. It then feeds off of my dogs blood. So, the tick (the parasite) is benefiting from Shea (the host). Sadly, this is not good for my dog. Now, she has limes disease. Limes disease is not good for any animal. If not treated correctly there could be problems :'( Thankfully, we went to a vet quickly and now Shea is being taken care of :)
